The Garmin fēnix 5X Plus brings new features to Garmin’s most popular outdoor GPS wearable series.
Built-in routable topographical maps, storage for up to 500 songs and wrist-based Pulse Ox Acclimation sensor are just the few of many in the wearable. For hikers, the fēnix 5X Plus has special ascent features that can really help. The ClimbPro page provides real-time information on current and upcoming climbs. See the climb gradient, distance and elevation gain for each ascent segment as well as a progress marker that shows how much farther you have to go. On strenuous climbs, the watch’s Pulse Ox Acclimation sensor provides additional information. This sensor uses light beams to gauge the absorption of hemoglobin in your bloodstream, so you can assess how well your body’s oxygen levels are adjusting to the thinner air at higher altitudes. Connect IQ and smartphone compatible, you are not just allowed to customize it with widgets, data fields, watch faces and apps, but also get call, text and email notifications right on your wrist. Constructed with premium-grade materials, it is also built tough for challenging environments featuring a full-color Garmin Chroma Display with LED backlighting to assure sunlight readability and is water-rated to 100 meters. What’s best is the fēnix 5X Plus can get up to 18 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and 11 hours in GPS and Music mode.
